about

As a family (Rooke's & Taylor's) we have it on our hearts to transform the family farmland, located 45 minutes southeast Pittsburgh, into a place of ministry and retreat; a place where the Kingdom of God can be cultivated, through community, solitude, service, meditation and discipleship. To do so, we've got some work to do. We're partnering with Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community as a means for labor and in exchange HMBFC be able to use the land for future events, retreats, and possible future farming. we're starting with the old family spring house, about 150 years old, and fixing it up as a center for future events. It needs some willing workers with servants hearts ready to roll their sleeves up. It will also be a great way to invest into each others lives by literally being co-workers for the community. The Taylor Family has constructed a non-profit to structure the work that goes on down there. this is called Pilgrim Trails Inc. so The Spring House Mission is an non-official collective project of the Rooke family, Taylor family, Pilgrim Trails Inc, Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community and a loose group of friends associated
